Lenovo Yoga Paper: Tablet with E Ink display and a stylus
Lenovo Yoga Paper
Lenovo has officially unveiled a new device called the Yoga Paper. This is a tablet with an E Ink screen and stylus support, it was already known about thanks to leaks and pre-announcement. A few years ago, devices based on E Ink technology were actually intended exclusively for displaying e-books and documents.
However, now, in addition to readers, tablets have also begun to appear, and several manufacturers have begun to produce such gadgets. In principle, they can be used as a replacement for classic tablets, but there are certain limitations associated with low response.
The Lenovo Yoga Paper comes with a 10.3-inch E Ink screen and a built-in stylus with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. It has a special slot on the side with a magnetic mount.
A feature of the novelty is the function of automatically adapting the color temperature to the ambient light. This is very useful, for example, when using the gadget in the evening. The tablet can be used for drawing, and the manufacturer claims that all sketches are synchronized even outside the operating system. How this is done – Lenovo did not explain.
The exact technical characteristics, the timing of the appearance of the device on sale and its cost are currently unknown. It is also not yet clear if the Lenovo Yoga Paper will go international or remain exclusive to China. By the way, Onyx Boox has similar devices. For example, the Tab Ultra model, which costs $600.
