Microsoft Edge is actually the second most popular browser after Google Chrome, and as a Chromium-based browser it shares many of its features. However, there are a few features that Edge is still missing. Among them – the ability to send tabs to other devices, but soon that will change.
Microsoft has added a new feature to Edge Canary that will allow users to send tabs to other Android and Windows 10 devices. This is useful if users have multiple gadgets that use Microsoft Edge as their default browser. In this case, they will be able to transfer tabs from their computer to their smartphone and vice versa. This requires that all devices be logged into the same Microsoft account.
Tab sharing is already available in Edge Canary 92.0.873.0 for Windows 10 and 92.0.870 for Android. To share a tab on your smartphone, you need to go to the web page and select the Send this page to your devices option from the Share menu. On a computer, the function is accessible from the address bar, just like in Google Chrome. By clicking on the corresponding icon, it will show a list of all synced devices with which you can share the open tab.
The ability to send tabs to other devices works both ways. And there, and there comes a notification with a link, name and other information.
