BOE decided to surprise the local market. The company introduced “the industry’s first ultra-large 8K OLED display.
It should be noted that this is only a prototype. A prototype that aims to show where the company thinks TV makers will head in the near future.
The device received a 95-inch OLED display with a resolution of 8K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In this case, the peak brightness is 800 cd / sq.m.
Among other things, 10-bit color representation and support for HDR technology can be noted. Also coverage of the DCI-P3 color space is 99%.
Of course, today such TVs will cost some unrealistic money, even if someone decides to produce and sell them. But over time, the story that has already happened with 4K models will most likely repeat itself and 8K OLED TVs will become more or less accessible to the majority.
