Leica Camera AG announced the conclusion of a partnership agreement with the Chinese Hisense: the purpose of cooperation is to develop technologies in the field of laser TVs. Hisense, one of the leading manufacturers of laser TVs, has 1,700 patents in the related field. In the assortment of this company, in particular, there is a giant 120-inch panel 120L9-Pro.

The goal of the long-term collaboration is reportedly to combine Hisense’s technology in the laser TV segment with Leica’s years of experience in developing and manufacturing high-quality lenses to create an advanced technology platform for laser TVs.

“ Home theater is a rapidly growing market and the expansion of Leica’s product range in this segment represents a promising opportunity to delight customers with premium devices ,” says the German company.

Leica Camera AG will present its first laser TV at IFA 2022, which will be held in Berlin from 2 to 6 September. The device will enter the commercial market under the name Leica Cine 1. Unfortunately, there is no information about the characteristics of the TV yet.
