At CES 2023 in Las Vegas , LG unveiled a 97-inch OLED TV in the Signature Series . But the main feature of the novelty was not a giant screen at all – the LG Signature OLED M3 model became the first TV to implement Zero Connect ‘s proprietary wireless video and audio broadcasting technology .
The LG Signature OLED M3 TV consists of the panel itself, which can, for example, be hung on the wall, and an external connection box, to which all content sources are connected, as well as, if necessary, an antenna and an Ethernet cable. The wireless communication channel between the unit and the panel allows broadcasting video with parameters up to 4K / 120 Hz at a distance of up to 9 meters. Thus, thanks to Zero Connect, it was possible to get rid of most of the cables that go to the TV, and in the case of wall mounting, masking these cables has always been a difficult task. In fact, it remains to disguise only the power cable of the panel. LG Electroincs assures that this wireless channel is well protected from interference – neither people nor pets moving around the room interfere with its operation, which was demonstrated at the LG booth at CES.
The LG Signature OLED M3 TV comes with a wall bracket for virtually gap-free mounting. Of course, this model is inferior in resolution to other LG Signature TVs, such as the Z3 with 8K resolution, but in this case, the emphasis is on the convenience of installing the device in the living room.
The manufacturer did not share information regarding the price of the novelty and the possible timing of the appearance of the LG Signature OLED M3 on sale. But given the huge OLED screen and the TV’s advanced wireless content streaming technology, the recommended price is impressive.
