Philips TVs to support Calman auto-calibration for the first time

Philips recently announced 2021 OLED806, OLED805, PML9636 and PML9506 models will feature Calman Ready for easy and automatic image calibration for the first time in the company’s history.

“Calman Ready will allow consumers to use software to optimize screen color settings for an unrivaled viewing experience,” said Portrait Display, owner of the Calman brand.

Some models of LG, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony TVs have a similar function.

Calibration requires a compatible calorimeter (X-Rite i1Display, X-Rite i1Pro, or Spyder 5) and the Calman Home app.
