Samsung Display has announced that its 2023 QD-OLED panel lineup will include a 77-inch model. In addition, the company says the 2023 panels will be able to reach peak brightness levels of over 2,000 nits. Today, Samsung Electronics and Sony are equipping their TVs with Samsung Display QD-LED panels, and experts estimate that several more TV manufacturers will join them during 2023.

Ahead of the announcement of QD-OLED TVs at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, Samsung Display has confirmed that its 2023 QD-OLED panel lineup will include a 34-inch, 49-inch computer monitor model, as well as 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch models for TVs.

The 2023 panels use the new OLED HyperEfficient EL material , delivering an increase in the color brightness of each RGB pixel. Samsung Display said that as a result, the peak brightness of 2023 QD-OLED panels will exceed the threshold of 2,000 nits, though without specifying at what color temperature.

In addition, Samsung Display said that the 2023 QD-OLED panel will consume 25% less power than the previous generation panel of the same diagonal by using high-performance organic materials and more advanced AI technology.

The 2023 Samsung QD-OLED TV models will be showcased at CES 2023, which opens on January 5 in Las Vegas.
