After a two-year break, the largest European exhibition of electronics and household appliances I FA 2022 is taking place in Berlin.
The world’s best manufacturers have again gathered in the pavilions of the exhibition complex and presented many new products to the public and journalists, the release of which is scheduled for the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023.
JBL Tour Pro 2
Price – 250 euros
The world’s first fully wireless earbuds with a charging case that can replace a smartphone for control. It is equipped with a large touch screen that displays all the information the user needs – the charge level of each earphone, active mode, volume level and many other parameters. In addition, support for the LE Audio standard with the advanced LC3 codec is announced. The battery life on a single charge is 10 hours, together with the JBL Tour Pro 2 charging case, it will last 40 hours. The acoustic part is built on 10 mm dynamic drivers, the frequency response of the headphones is as close as possible to the proprietary Harman curve. JBL Tour Pro 2 will go on sale in December 2022.
Audio Technica AT-LPW50BTRW
Price – 500 euros
A nice mid-level turntable from a Japanese company, the body of which is made of 30mm fiberboard and covered with natural wood veneer. The player rests on anti-vibration feet, adjustable in height. The disc is made of cast aluminum and is driven through a belt, two speeds of rotation are supported – 33.3 and 45 rpm. The tonearm in the model has a carbon fiber tube and is equipped with an anti-skating force compensation system. An AT-VM95E MM-head is standardly installed on a removable shell.
Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar Plus
Price – 1 500 euros
More affordable than the original Ambeo, the new product from the German company is still not cheap. The soundbar is the first in the world to implement a 7.1.4 acoustic scheme, which eliminates the need for a subwoofer or satellites. The model is equipped with three front, two vertical and two side drivers, as well as two dedicated woofers directed upwards. The automatic calibration function and support for Ambeo’s proprietary surround sound algorithm, as well as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and 360 Reality Audio, have been retained. For those wishing to increase the bass response, an optional Sennheiser Ambeo Sub subwoofer with an 8-inch driver and a 350-watt amplifier is provided, it will cost 700 euros.
Jabra Elite 5
Price – 170 euros
The new TWS headphones from Jabra will be available in two colors, black and beige. They are equipped with a hybrid active noise reduction system and can be connected to several signal sources. From one charge, the model will work for 7 hours, together with the charging case, the battery life will be 28 hours. The Jabra Elite 5 is also IP55 certified and comes with six built-in microphones. The headphones weigh only 5 grams each and are equipped with dynamic drivers with a diameter of 6 mm.
Philips FS1

A small wireless speaker with a three-way design. It has a 3.5″ woofer, 1″ tweeter and a 2.5″ midrange driver, angled on the top panel. The column can be used both as a separate speaker and as part of a stereo pair, or as a completely wireless Dolby Atmos home theater. When connected to a Philips TV, the Ambilight built into the speaker will sync with the backlight of the TV.
LG OLED Flex

OLED TV (aka gaming monitor) with the ability to change the curvature of the screen. The curvature of the model can be changed manually or using the button on the remote control. The novelty is powered by the latest fifth-generation Alpha 9 intelligent processor and supports all proprietary image quality enhancement technologies. The TV provides 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The response time is as low as 0.1ms, and support for VRR, NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) will delight gamers. Acoustic system – a pair of front speakers with a power of 40 watts.
Philips OLED+937
Price – 3,499 euros (65 inches) and 4,999 euros (77 inches)
Philips’ new top-of-the-line OLED TV series is based on an OLED EX panel with built-in cooling, allowing it to deliver peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The sixth generation P5 AI Intelligent Dual Engine is responsible for image processing. Declared support for G-Sync, Freesync and VRR, as well as VRR Shadow Enhancer mode. The TVs are equipped with a Bowers & Wilkins fabric-covered soundbar with four drivers and amplifiers with a total output of 95 watts. Of course, all TVs are equipped with the latest version of the proprietary Ambilight backlight system.
Samsung Odyssey G8

The company’s first curved gaming monitor that combines OLED and quantum dot technology. The 34-inch diagonal screen has a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels, a claimed response time of 0.1 ms and support for refresh rates up to 175 Hz. All major gaming applications are available through the Samsung Smart Hub service. The curvature of the screen is 1800R, which promises complete immersion in the gameplay. The monitor is enclosed in a metal case, having a minimum thickness of only 3.9 mm. The display also has a backlight system that matches the prevailing color on the screen.
TCL 98C735
Price – 8,000 euros
The Chinese giant has unveiled the largest QLED TV in the world – its screen size is 98 inches diagonally. According to the developers, they wanted to achieve the same effect that the viewer gets in the best seats in the cinema. To achieve it, you need to position yourself three meters from the TV screen, and this will provide the necessary 60-degree view. The TV supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the audio system was created by Onkyo. The start of sales is scheduled for November 2022.
