Xiaomi presented a huge TV under the Redmi brand. The novelty is called Redmi TV X86, which reflects its diagonal.
What we know
Redmi TV X86 is not the biggest model of the brand. The Redmi range includes the Redmi Max 98 TV, which is equipped with a 98” screen. Our hero got an 86” 4K UHD panel without a higher refresh rate.
The sound subsystem is represented by two 10 W speakers with support for DTS technology. The hardware platform is built around a 4-core chip, complemented by 2 GB of RAM. A 16 GB drive is provided for installing applications.
Redmi TV X86 received two HDMI 2.0 connectors, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and a Wi-Fi adapter. The manufacturer claims that you can control the TV using voice commands thanks to the support of the XiaoAI virtual assistant.
Price and when to expect
The Redmi TV X86 will be available in China from October 31st for $690. For comparison, the mentioned Redmi Max 98 cost almost $2800 at the start of sales.
