TCL has announced a new 20 series of smartphones, with the reservation that at least 5 smartphones will appear in the TCL 20 series in 2021. Perhaps this line will include bendable smartphones and devices with curling displays.
However, the TCL 20 5G and TCL 20 SE were unveiled today.
TCL 5G is the third smartphone in the company’s portfolio to support 5G networks. It has a 6.67-inch Full HD + display with a front-facing camera built right into the screen. The smartphone received Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 as a hardware platform. The 5G module in the device only supports Sub-6GHz bands. The smartphone has 6 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB storage. Another nice feature is the 4500 mAh battery.
The TCL 20 5G has a triple main camera unit with a wide-angle lens and a 48MP sensor, as well as an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP macro camera.
The device is due out soon, with a price tag of € 299 in Europe, and is already on sale in Italy.
The TCL 20 SE is a bit simpler. It has a 6.82-inch display with an aspect ratio of 20.5: 9 and Full HD + resolution. Interestingly, even the cheaper TCL device has stereo speakers installed.
The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 460 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. Interestingly, this device, unlike the TCL 20 5G, will receive Android 11 out of the box, as well as a larger 5000 mAh battery.
The device contains a quad camera unit, but the situation with the main sensor is very interesting. The device can be purchased with either a 48-megapixel or 16-megapixel wide-angle camera. In addition to the main one, there is a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and two 2-megapixel ones – a depth sensor and a macro.
This smartphone will also be on sale soon for 149 euros.
