HONOR Earbuds 2 Lite is a new headphone with active noise canceling, excellent battery life and powerful sound.

Design
HONOR Earbuds 2 Lite is a classic vacuum headset with silicone ear pads. Traditionally, the kit comes with a set of additional attachments so that everyone can choose an option for their size of the auricle.
The main part of the headphones is very compact, as some of the electronics are hidden in the legs. Also on their outside there are touch buttons for controlling playback.
The model will be available in “midnight black” and “icy white” colors – we had a light version on our test. The headset case and body are made of glossy plastic. At the same time, the headphones cannot be called how many – it is convenient to insert and remove them, holding them on their legs.
The case is quite compact, it will be convenient to carry it even in your pocket. And the cover and the recesses for the charging contacts are equipped with magnets – so that the headphones themselves “fall” into place. There is also a button on the case that you can use to reset the connection to connect to a new smartphone.
Functions and management
As we said, you can control the headphones using the buttons on the outside of the case. By default, they are configured as follows: one press – stop / start the track, long press – switch modes (ANC, surround sound, just play).
You can customize gestures and other device functions using the AI Life app. It is available in the App Store and App Gallery. You will also find this program on Google Play – but in the store from Google it has not been updated for a long time and does not support new models of headphones. HONOR Earbuds 2 Lite has not yet been added to the app on the day of the article’s release, but as soon as they become available, we will add the corresponding screenshots.
Despite the low cost, the headphones support active noise cancellation. The technology is implemented through software processing of sound and a system of two MEMS microphones (manufactured using microelectromechanical technology). Note that due to the design, the headset already has excellent passive noise cancellation – and this is one of the main advantages of vacuum models.
If, on the contrary, you need to enhance the surrounding sounds, and not suppress them, then you can use the sound transparency mode. It is also activated by long pressing on any of the headphones. The function is useful, for example, when using a headset in the office, when you need to hear the questions of colleagues, or while jogging along a busy street – in order to react to the signals of cars in time.
Sound
The headphones are equipped with 10mm polymer composite diaphragm drivers. Sound assessment is a very subjective matter and depends on the hearing of a particular person. In our opinion, the model produces a rather powerful sound despite its diminutive size.
So, we were pleasantly surprised by the rich bass – this is rarely found in compact TWS headphones. The mids are well developed, and the highs are a little lacking – but this can be partially corrected in the equalizer on the smartphone . Best of all, HONOR Earbuds 2 Lite sounds best in the genres of popular and electronic music, as well as when playing rock tracks.
Note that the headset connects to HONOR smartphones automatically after opening the case – the screen immediately displays the charge level of each earphone and case. If you take out one earphone, the music will stop on its own, and if you then put it on, it will start again. This is very convenient, since you do not have to manually pause the player. The function also works when two headphones are removed at the same time.
Battery
Each earbud is equipped with a 55mAh battery and the case is equipped with a 410mAh battery. This is enough to keep the case running for 32 hours! This record can be achieved by using the headset with ANC turned off and at medium volume. With an active noise control, it will last a little less without recharging. But let’s be fair: most likely, you will have enough passive noise cancellation due to the design of the headphones, and ANC will have to be turned on only when the environment is really loud (for example, on an airplane).
Honor promises that the earbuds will work for 10 hours on a single charge – but it should be borne in mind that this time was also measured with ANC turned off and 50% volume. If you like to listen to music at the maximum and with noise reduction, then you can count on about 6-7 hours without recharging – and this is a very good indicator. The case is charged using USB-C (USB-A to USB-C cable included). It takes about an hour for the earbuds to charge from zero to 100%, but after just 10 minutes in the case, they replenish the battery for 4 hours of playtime.
Wireless charging is not supported.

Conclusion
The HONOR Earbuds 2 Lite can be safely called the best fully wireless active noise canceling headphones for up to $70 At the same time, they have a good sound, work for a very long time without recharging and just look great. If you use a HONOR smartphone, you will also receive a nice bonus in the form of automatic connection of the headset when you open the case.
