Hisense offers TVs with similar features where they focus mostly on performance for a price that is affordable. This combination allows users to pay due attention to their new models, however, today we will talk about a team that was released last year and has since generated interest for the performance it provides. It is worth mentioning that, like all televisions, it will have good and bad details, however, depending on its specifications, it will be able to meet most demands. Without further ado, we present the Hisense 58A6BG .

Exterior design of the Hisense A6BG

55 techweek

We have a design that combines both positive and negative details, resulting in a regular aesthetic.

Something typical of the televisions in this range is that they maintain a similar design, obviously they do not usually stand out for aesthetics, however, there are some details that we can take advantage of to enjoy an attractive appearance , although it is not something very relevant for aesthetics.

But not everyone thinks the same, on the contrary, lately we have seen that many users are more carried away by physical appearance, but that is another topic. For now we want to mention that we have the 58-inch model  that is the ideal size for medium rooms or rooms.

We find it appropriate to purchase the VESA mount, as it allows easy installation, especially on the wall. This way we will have a deeper view of the front that ends up being the most striking part in terms of design. This is due to the thin frame that covers the entire screen .

We emphasize that the useful space will be 94% sufficient when playing content. The rear part seems the least striking to us because it maintains a bulky space that generates discomfort if we have a view from the side. Therefore,  the design does not stand out too much .

Connectivity

It has three HDMI 2.0 that offer the possibility of connecting external devices to later send their signal and be able to transmit it to the television. It also offers two USB 2.0  that has the function of playing content, although the most attractive thing is the possibility of recording content.

We find other important physical connections such as its   Ethernet  port , an  optical audio output  ,  a  headphone  jack   and  cable  or  antenna input . Likewise, it offers compatibility with the second generation DVB-T2/C/S2 tuners  that provide good channel tracking.

At a wireless level, we are facing an interesting model that offers  Wi-Fi Direct  , ideal for connecting to the Internet without having to use the network cable. It includes  Bluetooth 5.0 which, thanks to its version, provides good stability with compatible devices, especially if they are audio.

Image quality and functions in general

The Hisense 58A6BG does not seem like a very equipped television in terms of the image, which could mean a slight disadvantage, especially considering that it is the most striking aspect. Of course, it delivers a 4K resolution that tries to improve details for a better optimized display.

However, it offers a Direct LED backlight  that seems regular to us mainly due to the lack of local dimming, which is quite important, since by not having it we will notice slight quality losses in very dark or bright environments. So placement is important.

To avoid these difficulties a bit, yes, it also provides a VA panel that stands out for its contrast and brightness levels, which show sharpness. However, it presents low quality in terms of color fidelity and accuracy, in addition, there will be some light leaks from the sides.

It is also not a television that integrates many enhancement technologies, in fact, it only offers  4K Upscaling  and  Digital Noise Reduction . It also features  HDR10 ,  HLG  and  Dolby Vision support , though we’ve noticed that it only works if the content offers support.

It has a frequency of up to 60 Hz, therefore, there will be fluid movements, but they will not be too precise, especially the most action content. As can be seen, the image is average , but enough to view our favorite content without spending too much.

Sound

The audio will not be so good either, since it only integrates two speakers that together reach a power of 16W, something that is below other mid-range models. Really the best thing is to buy a sound bar , even if it means an extra expense, but it is worth it.

In addition, there are many cheap models that will be enough to improve the experience. It is true that it offers good technologies such as  Dolby Atmos  and  DTS Virtual: X that seek to deliver an immersive and precise experience, however, the quality continues to fall short.

Analysis of the software / Smart TV and more notable features

56 techweek

It has its own system, which offers good features, although it needs more polishing

It is interesting that the  Hisense 58A6BG presents its own system, although it needs to improve certain details to be considered, therefore, its operation will be a bit limited. Also consider that it has a regular optimization , so there will be moments of little fluidity.

It is not such a serious problem, but it could cause some discomfort. What stands out is the catalog of applications that integrates the most popular entertainment options. It also offers compatibility with  Google Assistant  and  Amazon  Alexa  that give us voice control.

This model has acceptable performance when playing, since it has the  Game Mode function  that slightly improves the experience. It also includes a  sport mode  and  hotel mode . This system can be even better, so we will have to wait for future updates.
