TCL S6200 Review: Basic, affordable and the perfect kitchen TV

TCL S6200 is that television that we are looking for to put in the kitchen and watch the news or recipes. It can also be the one you buy desperately because yours has been damaged and you don’t have the budget, not even remotely, to replace one just like it. For my taste, it could also be the first television that you put on the little ones in their bedroom.

• Micro Dimming . This technology is used to enhance contrast. It is achieved based on an analysis of the image in more than a hundred small areas whose values ​​are changed to further fine-tune and achieve more realistic and defined brightness and contrast.
• Support for HDR content . It is curious because this is something that is left for Full HD televisions but, without a doubt, it is a more than welcome aspect, since it implies that the processor, which is a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55, is not bad and, in addition, that we can see more content with better details. There is more vividness in colour, high contrast and greater depth in black areas.
• Image modes . Surprisingly, the model integrates several image modes, which means that it works to subtly modify the values ​​of the contents to better adjust them to its typology. Thus, we find standard, dynamic, smart HDR, movies, sports games and PC.

As for the audio, the truth is that we can say little. It has two small full range down firing type speakers with 5 W of power each, which makes a total of 10 W in 2.0 channels . It is a sufficient amount to listen to anything without a problem but, without a doubt, it is below the conventional today. Music at full blast, especially bass, may be distorted because it also doesn’t have a subwoofer.

The audio technology used is Dolby Digital Plus , which means that the sound remains rich and of sufficient quality to make the most of the elements that make up the simple audio system.

Be careful because you are not going to believe that this simple and cheap television comes with Android TV 11 . Not only is it intelligent in its measure but it integrates an excellent OS. This one, yes, is somewhat casted but it already offers much more than other exclusives of each brand.
