The biggest differences between Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Pro

Xiaomi Mi 11 was announced at the end of the long-suffering 2020. The smartphone turned out to be excellent: uncompromising screen, evil filling, fast charging in all directions and increased attention to detail. All that was missing was a TV camera and some killer feature. However, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra offered even more than expected. And with it the Pro version.

Four top features of the Mi 11 Ultra:

  • The industry’s largest 50MP 1 / 1.12-inch Samsung GN2 mobile sensor with 1.4μm pixels
  • Sony IMX586 for width and zoom
  • second screen on the back
  • ceramic case (only for 12 + 512 GB configuration)

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Camera specifications

The very idea of a mini-display on the back is not new. More than three years ago, the Meizu Pro 7 sported the same option . True, the smartphone did not take off – it was expensive, and besides the screen on the back it was not much.

Despite the presence of an auxiliary display, the selfie camera remains intact. In addition to selfies for the main super module, the additional screen of Mi 11 Ultra serves to display useful information such as weather, time, charging, and so on.

Second Display Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

The main camera is now 50 megapixels and it is the largest matrix in the mobile industry – its size is 1 / 1.12 inches, which is very close to 1-inch sensors in compact cameras. In addition, there are giant pixels of 1.4 microns, which means that the sensor will capture even more light and, as a result, the quality of the images will increase. First of all at night.

The other two cameras are the usual Sony IMX586 48 megapixels each. One is for wide angle, the other is for far away: 10x hybrid zoom and 120x digital.

The last difference of the Mi 11 Ultra is the ceramic lid. True, it will only be available for the most expensive version. We’ll talk about prices later, everything is sad there.

The rest of the characteristics are automatically brought out by the new “Ultra” and brought up to the level with the most expensive and sophisticated flagships of  Apple , Samsung and Huawei .

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro

If you were missing a zoom camera in the Mi 11, then the gap is closed. Proshka received an 8-megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom. But the cherry on top is, of course, the same giant Samsung GN2 sensor. It’s nice that Xiaomi shared the top-end functionality with an intermediate version, and not as Huawei usually does and sells this version somewhere at home, in the depths of the Celestial Empire.

In addition to key features, Mi 11 Pro differs from the regular version in increased screen brightness (1700 nits), support for Dolby Vision format (like the iPhone 12 Pro ) and a 5000 mAh battery with slightly faster charging – 67 watts for cable and wireless.

Mi 11 Pro

Control shot to the head – IP68 water resistant. With some kind of standard recommendations (1.5 meters and 30 minutes), Xiaomi has clearly demonstrated that the Pro model will work without problems at a depth of up to 42 meters.

In any case, all the characteristics and differences between the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and the Mi 11 Pro and the regular version are below in the plate.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite

In my practice, not a single smartphone with the Lite prefix has been successful. As a rule, only the same name unites this craft with the reference. In fact, this is a completely different apparatus, terribly curtailed on all fronts.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite

True, in this case there is a slight deviation from this unfortunate rule. For 350 bucks we get the following:

  • 6.55-inch AMOLED display, FHD, 90Hz, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision
  • Snapdragon 780G + 8GB LPDDR4x and 128 / 256GB UFS 2.2
  • main camera 64 MP, width 8 MP and macromodule 5 MP
  • 4250 mAh battery + 33 W charging
  • Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.2, NFC
