Hisense has introduced the U7T Pro television series in China, expanding its premium display range with RGB-Mini LED backlighting, 4K resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate. The lineup reaches 100 inches at its largest and emphasizes color reproduction, local dimming and integrated sound.

RGB-Mini LED backlighting with thousands of dimming zones

The U7T Pro’s central display technology is its RGB-Mini LED backlight. Depending on screen size, models in the series use between 2,880 and 6,912 local dimming zones. Hisense says the system is designed to increase brightness while reducing unwanted light leakage into darker areas of the picture.

The number of zones varies across the range, so performance characteristics may differ by screen size. Even so, the figures show that precise backlight control is a major part of the U7T Pro’s positioning. Hisense H7 picture processor manages the display

Image processing is handled by the Hisense Xinxin AI Picture Quality Chip H7. According to the company, the processor works across color reproduction, local dimming and image upscaling. These responsibilities make it the coordinating component behind several of the television’s principal display functions.

The processor’s local-dimming role is particularly important given the high zone counts across the series. It must determine how the backlight responds to different areas of an image, while the upscaling component is intended to adapt lower-resolution material for the 4K panel. Four full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports and Devialet sound

For external sources, the U7T Pro provides four HDMI 2.1 connections, each supporting bandwidth of up to 48Gbps. Equipping all four inputs with that stated capacity gives owners multiple ports for compatible media players, computers and game systems without restricting the highest-bandwidth connection to a single input.

Hisense has paired the display hardware with a Devialet audio system rated at 330 watts. No further information about the speaker layout or supported audio formats was included in the supplied details, but the power rating and Devialet involvement make integrated sound a prominent part of the U7T Pro package rather than a secondary specification.
